Meet Kaitlyn

Kaitlyn Sobey (she/her) is a manual osteopath in good standing with Nova Scotia Association of Osteopaths (NSAO). Kaitlyn focuses her clinical work on infant care, including feeding, digestion and gross motor skills, as well as women’s health, from puberty to post-menopause.

The heart of Kaitlyn’s work is deep respect for the human spirit, and the sacredness of the parent/infant dyad. Kaitlyn is passionate about empowering new parents through education and support, helping families feel more confident, connected and emotionally resilient as they grow together.

Our Services

Infants have unique needs as they adapt to life outside the womb and move through rapid stages of growth and development.
With advanced training and experience in infant osteopathy, Kaitlyn provides gentle, individualized assessment and treatment for babies. Care considers your baby’s movement, mobility, muscle tone and areas of tension throughout the body, while taking into account their birth and developmental history.
An osteopathic feeding assessment looks at the movement and function involved in feeding, including the tongue, jaw, head, neck and body.
Assessment is available for both breast- and bottle-fed babies and can complement care from lactation consultants, midwives, physicians and other members of your baby’s healthcare team.
Children continue to grow and change rapidly, and osteopathic care can be adapted to their individual stage of development.
Drawing on advanced pediatric osteopathic training and experience, Kaitlyn uses a gentle, child-centred approach that incorporates movement, play and humour into assessment and treatment.
